This year, Kick for Kids met its event goal by raising over $10,000 for the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital’s Child Life Specialist Team. This group helps children get through difficult procedures and treatments, provides toys and activities, and offers support and education to families during children's hospitalization. Our fall event was held on Oct. 3-4 at two different sites and hosted by the Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics swim team. We thank all of our participants and donors for their generous time, effort and money to benefit the children at Lucile Packard’s Children’s Hospital.

Benefiting the Weill Cornell Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics

2019 marked the first Kick for Kids event benefiting the Weill Cornell Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics. The men and women of Cornell University’s Swimming and Diving teams came together to raise $4000 for this exceptional, life-saving organization.  Thank you to everyone who embraced this new event and donated to support of Kick for Kids.  Your donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for those that participated and kicked. Together, we have made a difference for sick children in the region.  The Weill Cornell Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics donation page is still open if anyone would like to contribute.

2018 - Donated $9,165

I am excited to report that with all your help, we have raised $9,165 for Packard Children’s hospital this year!  Thank you so much for your continued support of Kick for Kids.  Your donation is greatly appreciated and will help the Child Life Group at Packard Children’s Hospital connect with every child. They help these patients manage stress and fears, provide toys at bedside, supply arts and crafts, and give surprise celebrations for birthdays or last chemo treatments. We had fun kicking on October 11th for this worthy cause.  Thank you so much for those that participated and kicked. Together, we have made a difference for these brave children :) The Packard page is still open if anyone still would like to contribute.

2017 - Donated $7,108

Benefiting the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital

Once again we had a very successful Kick for Kids fundraiser on October 19!  Thank you to everyone who made this such an amazing event by kicking, supporting and generously donating.

This year we raised $7,108 for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Child Life Department.  To give you an idea, with this money, we have funded for a winter holiday party for the sick children and their families since these kids can not go home during the holidays.  In addition, our donation funds almost a year’s worth of Art therapy in the children’s cancer unit.  Lastly, we help with small birthday presents for the kids that have to spend their birthday in the hospital.  Wow, this is awesome!

Over the last 7 years, together, we have raised almost $57,000!  I am grateful for all of you and thank you for making a difference in the lives of kids in the hospital.

Once again, we all came together, welcomed Jack, had fun kicking laps and raised $10,432 for Lucile Packard Children's hospital.

This best part of the event was that Jack joined us and kicked with us!  We are all so proud of you Jack! You are our inspiration!

Many Thanks for all your support, encouragement and donations.  In the last 6 years, we have raised almost $50,000 for Packard Children's Hospital.

A huge thank you to all of you for your support of the Kick for Kids Kick for Jack! event.  Thank you to all of you that kicked, donated and showed up to cheer us on.  We are so overwhelmed and blessed by your kindness and generosity.  We are so lucky to be apart of PASA, Serra and St. Raymond Communities!  Thank you for giving to this worthy cause that benefits brave children at LPCH.

But most importantly, thank you for your kind words and prayers and for kicking for our dear friend, Jack.  Thank you for showing Jack that we are 100% behind him and are rooting for him.  Stay Strong Jack!!  

Because of your support and generosity, we raised $ 17,390 and have donated this to LPCH in Jack’s name!!!  

This is over double last year!  In the last 5 years we have raised over $ 38,000 for this charity.  Thank you!

2014 - Donated $8,069.50

Benefiting the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital

A HUGE thank you to all that supported my 4th annual Kid for Kids fundraiser by donating and kicking.  This year, on Friday, October 10th, my whole swim team, PASA-Rinconada participated and we kicked laps benefiting Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital specifically Child Life Specialists.  This kick-a-thon included swimmers ages ranging from 6 to 18!  All participants received cool sunglasses, colorful “kick for Kids” swim caps, and of course a few treats after.  We all had a blast kicking and raising money for this worthy cause.

Fundraised:  $8,069.50 !!!  We beat our last years results by $903.50. Also notable is that the last 4 years, kick for kids has raised over $21,000!!!

None of this would be possible without you.  Thank you for your support, donations and the kicking!  I am proud that we as a group helped this cause and hopefully brought a smile to a child’s face during their hospital stay.

On October 18, 2013 my swim group, Senior, along with Jr+ and the 11-12 Group, and on October 17, 2013, Varsity group, my brother Chad, and I came together and kicked laps for the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.  It was such a fun event with huge turnout!  

Fundraised: $7,166.00!!!

October 2012, Junior and Varsity groups came together at Stanford University Aquatic Center and kick laps for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Child Life Specialist.  This was the second Kick for Kids event and we nearly doubled the amount of money raised from last year. Thanks to everyone who helped us raise $4,120.00!!

2011 - Our First Year - Donated $2,204

I would like to give a quick update on our Kick for Kids fundraiser.  This kick-a-thon was a HUGE success!  Thank you ALL for your interest, participation and donations for the Kick for Kids event.  A special thank you to Coach Ricky Silva for his help and support for the Kick-a-Thon.

On Saturday, October 15, my awesome PASA teammates, my friend, Luca Pagano,  my little brother, Chad, and I kicked some laps, then more laps and more laps.... We also had lots of fun.  

As a group, we kicked for 45 minutes non-stop, 2720 laps (that is 41.2 swim miles) and raised $2,204 !! I am so grateful and happy about how we all came together to create this a successful event.   We should all be very proud of what we have achieved for such a worthy cause.

The Child Life Specialist Group at Lucile Packard is thrilled for this support.
